Time To Be Radical is a champion performance and halter
winning stallion, now located near Shepparton Australia, after importation from
the USA in 2008, He has earned multiple ROMs in the USA in halter and color,
with Ray Burchett and Leslie Weston showing, acheiving top 5 and top 10 World and National placements when shown as
a yearling in the USA. In 2007, Time to Be Radical was trained and shown by Ty
and Karen Hornick in the USA and later imported to Australia as a 3 year old
stallion in 2008. He is currently registered with the Australian Appaloosa
Association and Appaloosa Horse Club in the USA, and stands at stud in
Australia, with frozen semen available in both the USA and in Australia for
export.
Time To Be Radical has a very impressive show record
given the few shows he has actually attended (5 shows in USA and 5 shows in
Australia in total as of 6/2010). Theo is a multiple national champion in
junior western pleasure, amateur western pleasure, and halter in Australia. He
has also acheived top wins in junior western pleasure and 4 and 5 year old
futurity stakes western pleasure at the Australian Halter Showcase in
Melbourne, Australia's largest show for western horses. In 2009 he was reserve
champion in the 4 and 5 year old pleasure derby at the Australian Halter Showcase,
showing against all of Australia's top quarter horses, paints and appaloosas.
In 2009, he was a finalist in all his pleasure classes at NPHA in Sydney and
finished in the top 6 in junior western pleasure and top 8 in western pleasure
futurity event, again showing against all of Australia's top quarter and paint
horses. He was also the highest placing Appaloosa in the open pleasure classes.
Theo has also won numerous classes at state and regional shows in Victoria and
stood as grand champion stallion and top sweepstakes horse in the western
pleasure derbies, with Kristy Mobberley training and showing him at every show.
In 2010, Theo was champion junior western pleasure horse in the open division
with Kyle Mobberley and reserve champion amateur western pleasure horse and
amateur jackpot horse with Nicole Weston in the saddle. He has also been
reserve and top 3 in his national junior trail and horsemanship classes. We
look forward to continuing to show him on a limited basis at the breeds largest
shows, if his breeding schedule allows, as he is a pleasure to show and handle.
Time To Be Radical in now standing at public stud to a
limited book at Rose Quarter Horses in Mooroopna Victoria, located just outside
of Shepparton VIC. Besides breeding services on site, we offer chilled shipped
and frozen semen for export to New Zealand and New Calendonia.
We also offer frozen semen at Cornell University in the
USA. Theo has achieved a superior rate of conception and his frozen semen is
extremely viable and motile. His breeding is supervised by Kyle Mobberley and
our veterinary service, Causeway Veterinary Clinic in Mooroopna Victoria.
Frozen semen will be available on demand from Charles Sturt University's large
animal veterinary research and clinical centre in Wagga Wagga NSW.
Time To Be Radical has a greater than 50% color
production record from breeding only quarter horse mares to date. Theo has been
fortunate to breed some of Australia's top winning quarter and appaloosa
pleasure horse mares in 2010, with repeat breedings on his quarter mares, due
to the quality and dispositions of his foal crop. We look forward to showing
his foals in 2010 and are available at any time to discuss breeding, showing or
sales. Please contact Leslie Weston, Kyle Mobberley or Diane Rose for further
information on breeding and sales.
We have a few fantastic foals available to show homes.
